While all of the family was in Florida, we had a pizza making contest! We were assigned to teams of two and we worked together to create fun pizzas. We were given 20 minutes each. It was a lot like iron chef! It was great fun. Of course I could only eat two of the five pizzas, but it was still a blast.

My teammate was my aunt Gale. For our sauce, we blended up some toamato sauce, fresh basil, capers, walnuts, and sundried tomatoes. We topped this with some raw marinated mushrooms, chopped artichokes, sliced stuffed green olives, and sliced strawberries. It was a light and sweet pizza. The sauce was almost beefy from the walnuts.

Dad and Missy (his mom) cooked together for the first time ever! They made a barbeque sauce based pizza, with chicken, ham, sundried tomato, basil, pineapple and TONS of cheese on top. It was a big hit!
Mary and Stewie made the only other vegetarian pizza. They did half pesto, half red sauce. They used pinapple, mozzarella, cranberries, and goat cheese.
Here are the boys taking the taste test! Papa was our judge.
Ross and JB were the winners! They had a classic red sauce, chicken, sauteed mushrooms and mozzarella pizza.
They're prize was a bottle of olive oil!
